New Uncertified Woodstove
Legislation in Oregon
The 2009 Oregon Legislature passed a law
requiring the removal of any uncertified woodstove from a home
when it is sold. This law helps protect people from unnecessary
wood smoke pollution.
The new Woodstove requirement goes into effect
August 1, 2010. Until a disclaimer or info sheet for clients to
sign is available, you can use the info sheet found at DEQ to
make your sellers aware of this new requirement.
