EDUCATION
The Education
Committee arranges for informative educational seminars that provide
continuing education credit and selects topics for monthly
membership meetings. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each
month at noon at Professional Mortgage.

REALTOR
/ ATTORNEY
The REALTOR /Attorney
Committee arranges speakers for the REALTOR/Attorney Class which
meets the fourth Thursday of each month, where Attorneys,
REALTORS and Affiliate members discuss legal and risk
management issues, exchange information, and plan programs
to benefit Association members. This committee meets the third Wednesday
of each month at 12:30 at Professional Mortgage.

SPECIAL
EVENTS & PUBLIC RELATIONS
This committee schedules
programs and events with the purpose of bringing Association members together in a social
atmosphere. This committee also plans community service projects
and works with the Salem Association of REALTORS
Community Fund to organize the Children’s Christmas
party, food drive, and other public relations efforts.
They meet the third Wednesday of each month at 9:00 am
at the Prudential Office (20th and Mission) 1st floor
conference room.

GOVERNMENT
AFFAIRS / POLITICAL ACTION
This committee responds to legislative and
political issues of concern to the real estate industry.
The members interview candidates for political office, and assist in
determining support from the Association for local
elections. The committee meets the first Monday of each
month at noon at Professional Mortgage.

VALLEY COMMERCIAL REALTORS COUNCIL
This committee is
open to Commercial REALTORS and Affiliates that provide
services to commercial REALTORS
for marketing and education. The WVCR Committee meets the third Thursday of
each month at 8:30 am at Prudential Real Estate
Professionals.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS / GRIEVANCE
This committee monitors REALTOR ethics and
deals with ethics complaints and arbitration requests.
Members must have considerable experience in the real estate
industry and be knowledgeable in the Code of Ethics.
